Why Hospice Care?

Providing Compassion and Care with Dignity

Hospice is a special kind of care that changes the end-of-life experience for patients who are not expected to recover by shifting the focus from curative treatment to comfort and quality of life.

Hospice care provides symptom and pain management, comfort and support to people who are in the final stages of advanced illness as well as supporting their loved ones.

Patient-Centered Care

Hospice of Havasu supports the patient and family when they need it most by providing:

  • Physical care – manage pain, nausea, shortness of breath and other symptoms to ensure comfort. Provide bathing and personal care.
  • Medical Supplies – hospital bed, oxygen, bedside commode, shower chair, walker, and more
  • Emotional & Spiritual Support – guide patients and their loved ones with the emotional aspects of the final stages of life
  • Social Services – advance directives, body donation, final arrangements, and community resources
  • Respite – breaks for family and caregivers
  • Volunteers – friendly visits
  • Educate – help the family understand the dying process and how to provide the best care for their loved one
  • You are Not Alone – We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Hospice Care does not change the outcome, it changes the experience.
